tweed baby outfitters'
kids craft time!

{supplies needed}
wooden rod, sock, cotton or polyfill, duck tape, scissors, 2 feet of twine for reins, yarn, fabric or felt, glue {any glue, but a hot glue gun will work best}, and a pen.
{1}
fill sock with stuffing until stable
{2}
measure one hand {or 4 inches} from the top of the rod and wrap duct tape around that spot at least 10 times to create a ridge.
{3}
pull the stuffed-sock onto the rod until the duct tape ridge is just a few inches below the sock's heel/horse's noggin. keep the rod centered through the stuffing for added cushion/safety.
just below the duct tape ridge, tie 2 feet of twine around the sock and rod to use as the horse's reins. a few tight knots are recommended.
{4}
cut yarn for the mane and attach with glue.

{5}
cut out felt or fabric for eyes and ears {you may want to draw these first for your kiddo to cut out} and attach them with glue.
complete! enjoy a handmade hop-along-horsey!
